Paint worn off roof switch

After 6 months and 7000km the paint has worn off the edge of the switch which raises and lowers the roof and what was once black is now white. I'll be mentioning it when I take the car in for a 10,000km mid service and asking foir it to be fixed under warranty...but I won't lose any sleep if they won't.

Anyone else have this issue?

Hi,

I haven't had this prob on mine but I can recall there being quite a few posts on this site that did and most of them had theirs replaced without any fuss.

Yeah, mine is the same. Just on the edge ehre you lift it. Haven't bothered getting it seen to either, hardly a big drama.

i have some touch up paint for the body so may just paint it anyway. Or I could colour code it to my purple neons ;)

yeah, I like my purple neons. 2 in the boot by the amps and 1 in the glovebox. Just got some underbody ones to go on now. Not sure if they will look tacky or not but at least I'll be able to take them off if they do so I'm not stuck with it.

Yep, the paint on my switch has worn off on the edge as well. I hadn't thought about getting it replaced but maybe I will now!

Ours was worn and replaced for free by the dealer, no problem at all.
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.
