I know it's been asked before, and will doubtless be asked again, but where can I get a baby seat? I am hoping that now the CC is more popular someone might have some answers.

Wilson's in Epsom say they can get a rear facing seat, but it will only fit in the front. What we would really, really like is a rear facing seat, that will fit in the back.

When we bought the car we asked if this would be possible and were assured it would be. Foolishly we believed them

Does anyone know of a suitable model, available in the UK?

Many thanks

Hi Morgan

You'll be lucky if you find one! How old is your baby?

If you want a tip for a toddler seat, I'd recommend the Britax one that I have, it fits snuggly into the rear seat as the back of the booster is curved.
Obviously though, this can only be used with the existing seat belt, so I purchased a triangular guard (not a safety device, a comfort aid) which holds the belt correctly over the childs waist and away from their face.

If you do have any success please can you keep us posted.

Thanks and good luck

Sam

Thanks Sammy

The baby is not due until January 28th, nine and a half months after our little Pug!

I am currently looking into the Maxi-Cosi range, based on the suggestion that these are the ones supplied as standard in Oz.

You should talk to the Australian distributors who fit mandatory baby seat bolts on the back shelf and provide a baby seat with each car (whether you need it or not!!) It's got something to do with a decision by the Australian Motor Standards authority deciding that the back seat is only big enough for a baby, and therefore the car has to be equipped as such!! There are, as a result, lots of unused baby seats in garages of 206CC owners in Australia!!

Update:

Having been told the Auto Baby system made by Grecco would work we went to Hallfords. When the guy eventualy came back from his lunch break we found it didn't! He also said there was nothing in their range that would

Tried contacting Peugeot directly. Still waiting for a response, beyond their initial one of "ask your local dealer".

All new borns have to sit in rear facing seat, and theres no way you gonna get one in the back of a CC. Only options are to put one in the front (most will fit) and make the misses sit in the back, or sell it and a nice family car!

The front passenger seat has dedicated baby seat mounting points- so there must be a baby seat to fit them. :?:
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.
