Can someone advise me.....

Heading into London tonight at about 7ish. Will be going on the M4 which goes into A4.
Obviously with concordes last landing at 4pm will it be REALLY rammed?
There have been signs saying expect long delays but at 7 or even 8pm ish do you reckon I should pack a picnic!?

I have heard rumours of people waiting on the motorway to watch. Apart from highly illegal do you think they will?
Any USEFUL advice????
Do you think it should be clear ish by 7/7.30pm ish???

Not a chance of being clear. Firday night M25 is always packed NORMALLY until about 8:15. Tonight it will be later then that.

As an estimate, normally I leave about 30 minutes per junction when driving on the M25 through rush hour. You'll average 8-10mph.

(Friday rush = 3pm - 8:15pm)

I managed it last week at approx 7pm and it was fine.
Ok so at one point I went down to first gear but it wasn't what I would call horrendous traffic.

Ok so I will make a picnic before I set out and take a good book!

isnt it the start of half term as well. Surely more people on the roads heading for the airports or to the off licence so they can endure a week with their kids.

The motorway was absolutely fine! In fact it was quieter than usual!
