Just as a price guide for you, I just traded my CC in to a Toyota dealer and got, after 3 hours of negotiation, £11200...

I'd take the offer! I forgot to mention a minor <cough> point about my car - I imported it from Spain  so would affect the price :)

All the extras did not really affect the price by the way :( ...

I went for the Yaris T-Sport (3DR) - I need to cut my costs I am spending on the car, so I switched to something smaller. I was not even thinking of changing car, except the other week I was given a Yaris as a hire car, and found it great fun to drive - quite quick as well, given that it was only a 1.3. What did it in the end though, was even though it is a really nippy, well built car, but my insurance is half the cost, and I can do 45mpg! Still, for a 1.5, it still manages 0-60 in a shade under 9 secs...

Decided on Thunder Gray - the only choice really :) I am picking it up a week saturday.

Already signed up :) £25 for the year...

I reckon I've not done to bad, since I originally paid £13500 (vs. £16700 UK price), so not lost much money over 15 months or so - the only problem you'll face when reselling an import, is that people already know you saved money when you bought the car, and so expected to pay an equivelent amount less. When you break it down, the car still devalues the same percentage as UK cars - that is what the dealers take into consideration, but obviously they will try and pay even less, giving you the 'oh, its an import' line, then knock off a couple of grand automatically.

After all, with the 206 CC, it does not matter where you buy it, they are all made in the exact same place - Paris? Its crazy - just because my car went from Paris, to Spain then to the UK, rather than Paris to the UK, I saved just over £3k

Oh, and don't tell them how much you paid for your import - let it be valued for what it is, not how much it cost in the first place :) I got a better trade it that way, since they assumed I saved around 2k...

Well, just to let u all know I've sold my car to a dealer - I took the 11,200 on offer, which I am pleased with. It goes on Friday, so I will be enjoying my last few days with it. Thanks for all the info. ;)
