I parked the car on saturday took out the ignition key and opened the door. The alarm for leaving the key in the ignition started to sound. It stopped after about ten seconds, but the car wouldn't lock with the remote. I had to do it with the key. When i came back, an hour or so later it opened with remote and has been OK since

Has anyone else had this problem

CB FM? WOW!

Does it play dodgy music and CB voice overs with all his jokes, wasp aquarium tips and descriptions about all the crazy crap he's just found on the internet? :D

Here's a scary thought, According to Australian aviation magazine, our F/A 18 fighters have muxbus on them. I hope theirs is more reliable than Peugeot's.

Same thing happened to me (I'm talking about car-beeping, remote-not functioning) BUT after that I couldn't start the car. I tried for 15 min and then gave up and call Peugeot assistance. While I was talking to them, it finally started. Next day I went to dealer anyway but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. :?:
No problems since.

Done it again today. So will get pug to have a look when it goes in for the back arch sorting.
The car is only twelve weeks old with 800 miles on the clock and Some plank at the girlfriends work ran into it in the car park.
Someone saw him do it and took his reg and he still tried to deny it, but luckily the car park is covered by CCTV.
He's also knackered the back wheel so i'm going to try and buy it back off peugeot to use as a spare wheel.

Got the car back yesterday done quite a nice job on the back arch.
New wheel has not come yet though, so the garage said when it comes swap the tyre and keep the old one which has only a little scratch on it, So something good has come out of it.

Can anyone reccomend a cheap tyre to put on it to use as a spare?

What size? I might have one kicking around in the garage somewhere

Edit: Will be nearly dead by the way (couple thousand miles max) but ok for a spare if its the right size. If it is, you can have it, but just realised ur far far away so might not be woirth it :?:

Cheers for the offer, but like you say a long way to travel for a part worn.

I may wait and see if I can find an Eagle F1 in a salvage yard.

I got Pirelli P7000 with loads of tread left on for £28 quid at local tyre shop. Now have a spare for the price of a tyre.

This happened to us yesterday ... ignition off, key out, open door ... beep beep beep and the car wouldn't lock. I tried both keys (luckily my missus had just returned from the pool), few minutes later it came back, then went, then came back and has been fine since. Is the concessus that its a random, unknown fault and will go away or has anything constructive been tried to fix it? I wondered if the sensor in the ignition barrel might have gone intermittent and wrongly detected the key still??

Ta
Duncan.
PS - no CB peeps down our way ! ;)
