I tried scanning it in for you but my scanner has decided to sit in a huff and not work!

Basically the article doesn't rate it very well.
The test driver mentions how when sat at lights, the people in the car behind are talking about the brilliance of the roof mechanism and making various hand gestures to the roof and its mechanism (I think this has happened to most of us!)

A few comments from the article...

"The 180bhp wasn't fast nor was it thrilling to drive"

"It looks good but not great and at £20,900 (for the 180bhp) when sales start in a month's time you'd not be tempted to call it cheap. I wondered what the fuss was about"

"The simple truth is the 307 cc needs no more than modest outright ability because the basic formula upon which it is based is essentially right. ie the folding steel roof!"

"It has a spacious cabin and offers reasonable boot space even with the roof down."

"The result is a car I admired more than liked. It's cleverly conceived like so many French cars and it's also well executed and engineered. I suspect those that buy it will not care not one jot that it's not much fun to drive once the wind-in-the-hair novelty that can be appreciated from any seat wears off.

"At £20k for such a car I would be more tempted by the beauty, engineering and residual value of a seconf hand Audi A4 or BMW 3 series convertible"

Vital Statistics:
Model - Peugeot 307 CC 180
Engine type - Four cylinders, 1997cc
Power/Torque - 180bhp at 7000rpm / 149 lb ft at 4750 rpm
Transmission - Five speed manual
Tyres - 205/50 WR 17
Fuel/Co2 - 32.1mpg (combined) / 210g/km
Acceleration - 0-62mph: 10.0 sec
Top speed - 140mph
Price - £20,900
Verdict - Neither fast nor fun, but nevertheless cleverly conceived and very well executed
Rating *** (3 out of 5 stars)

Thanks
Julia :D

review in the sunday mail today of the 307CC and megane CC. they spoke more about the megane and that was the recommendation over the two cars.

i also have to say that £20,900 seems very high and is putting me off. the top model mazda rx8 isn't a convertible but looks far better and is only £22k.

that must be wrong :?: the standard 307 2.0 that uses same engine as CC is 9.2. even with extra weight surely the 180bhp is quicker than 10.0. it's 7.3 in the 206GTi180

true.... sounds a tad expensive.... I would have to test drive it tho as I wouldn't particularly trust a journalist's review... what's fun to drive according to them????
And Derek, I agree with you on the RX8, ok it's not a convertible.. but looks nice! and with an extra £4500 you could get my favourite of the moment, the nissan 350Z hmmmmmm nice!!!!!

Remember that the price is RRP - every garage will give you discounts, extras etc if you hassle them enough, more so on brand new cars.

And well said about the 350Z - saw one parked down my road a few weeks back and it looks so much better in the flesh than in pictures. And it was bright orange (err... firedance) as well!
