Have just taken delivery of a new 1.6 Black model with leather pack - but have some fundamental problems that I hope you can sympathise with and comment on!
Drivers door only closes with some force
Fuel gauge will not show more than just over 3/4 full
Severe whistling noise at over 70 MPH with the roof up
Any helpers before I castigate my local dealership?
Drivers door is a simple fix - although it will probable leak when you get it back the first time, or you will have to shoulder barge the door to open it like i did. Eventually they get it right but it may take some time/patience. My advice is, if they get it nearly right, wait till winter before letting em perfect it, so you dont have a courtessy 106 on a blazing hit day!
I found thay no matter how much i tapped the dial or turned the key on or off my fuel guage was staying at 3/4 full. Eventually i found that it helped if i used the key to remove the shiny alloy round thing on the drivers side of the car and fill it up with additional fuel
As for the whistle, this could be linked to the door/window allignment problem. Make sure wing mirror casings etc are all clipped in and if they are then take it to the monkeys i guess
