How long should they last
2.0SE 205 45 ZR 16
Have now covered almost 20,000 miles although not quite ready for changing, my front tyres are getting v close to the legal limit.
How long has it taken you to scrub off your tyres and how much are you paying for new tyres??????????[/b]

I sold my car at 11k and there was plenty left. My sister's CC is at abuot 18k and there's still a few thousand there.
But I think some other people have had much less out of their tyres.. I suppose it matters greatly on how you drive!
Wherebaouts in Leeds are you by the way? I must have seen you around! Any mods to your CC?

In Alwoodley/Moortown area - agean blue only distinctive features so far are rather questionable dodgy blue sunstrip and private no plate, have various things that I want to do obvious ones like colour coded bumpers etc etc .
Would like a more tuneful exhaust note but perhaps not like that of the nova variety.
Your more likely to see my g/f driving the car as unfortunatly i have an astra dti for work

I got 23,000 out of my front's and only changed them because they were getting close to the tread markers.
I used to only get around 15k out of my identical sized fronts in my 306. Dturbo. Must be the foot-to-the floor driving of a Turbodiesel
that was probably the cause

I have done 5.5K and have had to have my tyres moved around to even wear as the front were going really badly. The reason is though that I have to park on the 7th floor of a multi storey for work and do 4 trips around it a day - not good for tyres!
However, saying that I did the same in my 206 and managed 20k without having the tyres swapped!

In that case I must have seen you around - I live in Weetwood (near the police station) and often go to Sainsburys on the ringroad. In Alwoodley/Moortown area - agean blue only distinctive features so far are rather questionable dodgy blue sunstrip and private no plate, have various things that I want to do obvious ones like colour coded bumpers etc etc .

Colour coding is an absolute must for Aegean Blue I reckon (had mine done at MSF in Leeds).
BTW I don't have the CC any more so look out for a silver 306 HDi!!! Coz they're not at all common...

I got 10k miles and had to change my front two tyres.
(Something to do with the way its driven apparently!)
I have now after 20k miles changed the front tyres to the back and the back to the front to even out the wear.
Luckily I have a local tyreman who comes to my work and charged me £130 for 2 Eagle F1 tyres and that price included fitting, balancing and vat!
(Bloody good price if you ask me as I know some people here have paid £130ish for one tyre only!)

i got 18k on mine. very surprising for the way i drive
when i changed mine they looked a bit bald but not illegal although they looked pretty low after only 10k.
need to look at the back one day as they have now done 21k but were fine last time i looked - hard to see the tread with the car being lowered

My front ones were down to 3-4mm after around 7/8k. The rear ones were around 7-8mm.
