has anybody fit the 17" challenger wheels to a 206cc? (with 205/40 17 tires)
i wanna know they fit before i order them from peugeot
i love the way they look
i know the offset is a bit off (31 instead of 28) but it is within the acceptable range for the 206

they should fit ok but ask your dealer if they have a set you can try on first b4 ordering or if you order and they don't fit they will take them back :D

wish i could!
doesn't work that way here
you order , you get!
if it works or not is up to me to find out
my only problem is that having an offset of 31 means it's 3mm closer to the body of the car
afraid the tires might scrub against the body
does anybody have any wheels on that have an offset of 31 ?
i am dying for them with 205/40 17" tires
would look great i think
i could get the peugeot sport spacers
which are 2.5mm

check out how it would look!

I think this is what is happening with my 18's....the tires are rubbing against the inside body...Are you sure bigger spacers would not cure this???

Not an expert, but would skinier tyres help. 195's, 185's or something

What size tyres are on the 180's ?

yes spaces could cure that. thats why i asked u where it was rubbing. ir if it was just catching on the arch and u fit spacers u are gunna make it worse. every mm counts when fitting large wheels. why not try it with washers and take it around the block. i wouldnt keep the washers on for long mind you tho.

I think I have seen universal spacers in Halfords, but it was a store with a rip speed section.

standard tires on the 206gti 180 is 205/40 17"
i could get skinnier tires but then that would kind of defeat the purpose
plus 205/40 keeps the speedo accurate etc
any change would make the speedo faster or slower which would cause problems

When I say skinnier I do not mean the profile of the tyre. As yes this will change the rolling radius and the speedo reading.

It all depends where the tyres are rubbing. If it is the inner side edge of the tyre then 195 185 or lower should be better as they will be stretched to fit the wheel rather than overhang the rims. You would need to speak to someone who knows what you can get away with on a particular wheel depth any tyre supplier should be able to help. The only problem in doing this is the alloy will be more prone to curbing as the tyre is not there to protect it. However I personally think thinner tyres look better as they give the impression of a lower profile tyre.

I have now got 2 spacers of about 90mm depth which i am going to fit over the other spacers to bring the wheel out a little more...it is behind the wheel that it is rubbing...I hope this works.
