Hi

I have just ordered my replacement cc, after mine has been rejected (after 16 months).

I have asked for the following extra's

Ext wheel arch
Front lower grill
Front upper grill
Front headlamp conv
Lexus lights
mats

For the extra's they are wanting to charge me full brochure price. When I asked for discount, since I am buying so many extra's, they said there hands are tied buy pug uk and cant discount.

Has any1 else ordered all the bits in 1 go and what sort of discount did you get if any?

Thanks

Sam1974

PS A much happier Sam :D
Cheers

they are plain telling plies to you.

Your dealer can discount parts. I have spoken to several dealers across the country when I was hunting for a supply of cheap parts for the club and they have offered discounts of up to 25% on different items.

Go back and tell them to think again as you have a large audience here and your comments could damage their accessoriy sales from other CC owners :)

Just say you want all those done but the next nearest Peugeot garage to you offered you a 10% or something, i'm sure they'll have a go at beating it

As there for a new car you should try and use them as sweeteners on the deal. Once the sales manager has gone green and purple after you've took nearly all their profit out of the car then start on extra's and services.

I got most of their profit margin (from the profit margin figures I was given on these by a friend the dealer made 2% £320 across the car & extras) and then insisted on them including luxury mats and a devil exhaust too as the deal clincher :) PS in the end I was sat with the sales manager, the dealer principal and a calculator for around 2 hours until the deal was done :) I ended up getting the mats for free and paying £100 towards the exhaust.

Tell them you'll pay 50% and they pay the rest or you won't buy and see where you end up.

If you've already signed up for the car then best you'll do is probably 10% off. That said play hard as they usually have 30-40% in accessories. (Spot who's friend are all in the motor trade :) ) discounts to account customers (ie. other garages) are often 25-30% on parts.

Most of the profit in dealerships is in aftersales (parts, accessories and servicing) as theres very little in the cars (I've had dealers make as little as £50 on deals with me before now on cars).

Hi

Thanks for the advice.

As Derek said, they are replacing the car as I have rejected mine, so I cant reduce the price based on buying the car elsewhere. I think they probably trying to reduce there overall loss by charging me full price.

As people have suggested I am going to try ringing around different dealers and see what sort of price I can get for all the extra bits.

I think I will get the lexus lights elsewhere as £280 seems a bit excessive compared to some of the prices I have seen that people have paid on this forum.

It just would of been nice to have the car delivered with all the bits already on :D

Thanks

any dealer will give you 10 - 15% off the list price, all you have to do is ask.

you can save a few quid by getting your lexus lights off stephen, he's doing them for £120. As for the rest, you're probably better getting them from the dealer, as price wise it ain't that much different. Or maybe Rob will be able to sort you out with a few items

Hi

I assume the front headlamps from eccose need spraying and fitting, are they hard to fit.

I generally dont like doing DIY myself as I seem break stuff very easily :?

Is there a list of people, with contact details, who can supply CC bits anywhere on this site. I have cash to spend but wont be ordering till early August sometime as my car is due in spetember.

Thanks
