five days after getting my cc i discovered two dents - one in each a-pole (don't know if that's what it's called in the uk).

the dents are about 5-10 cm from the top of the front window.

i confronted the dealer and after a few phone calls he informed me that all cc's had the dents - some larger than others!

they are caused by the way the top of the window frame is welded (som sort of special welding technique) to the a-poles.

lyndon, i have emailed you a photo to place with this topic...

the situation right now is that the dealer sent a photo to the danish importer and i am waiting to find out what they are going to do about the dents...

There are absolutely no dents, scuffs, scratches or paint imperfections on mine. I think you are being fobbed off.

Hi denmark, I smell a rat, namely your dealer!

There's absolutely no such dents on my car, I should know because I went over it with a microscope when I first picked up the car (if there had been though, my dealer would have had an extra CC decorating his forecourt).

Robbie.

Someone's taking the p*** out of you mate. There are no dents or dings on any of the CC's I've seen.

As for the welding story, what a crock-of-crap.

Go and put two dents in your dealer.

Smae comment here - no dents in mine. If the dealer insists - get it in writing and then take it up directly with Peugeot.

they could fill them and paint them.

that isnt good enough as that is your main protection if you are ever unlucky enough to roll your car.

If thats damaged then you want a new car.

Well yeah they could make them look better, but as Rob says if you have a big smash or a rollover then you could be one squished bunny.

Don't chance it mate, take it back, get your cash and re-order.

This is the worst I have seen so far.. its a safety question....
Just start the job with rejecting it!!! Dont even think about acepting anything else. special not with the dealer that said that all cc's had those.. he is not to trust!!!!

Bergen, dont mince your words.

The dealer is LYING - plain and simple, you are right - DONT TRUST HIM.

REJECT THE CAR on safety grounds as its not fit for the purpose you bought it for

Denmark, I think everyone would agree, don't go back to that dealer. Once you've rejected the car, insist on getting your money back, your entitled to it - then go to another dealer to re-order , but not that one.

Robbie.
