I've kept the original Clarion RD3 and CD changer which the installer repositioned for me.
Very happy with this setup. Looks good and sounds good too. It does however lack the punch you get on 6x9's on the bottom of the mid-range frequencies.
Here is the bad bit. Today (04/05/03), went out for a drive and during Poison by Prodigy, the sub has stopped working. I don't know if its blown or what. there is still a power light on the amp but there is no sound coming out. I am NOT a happy bunny AT ALL! Very frustrating.
I can't look at the amp configurations or anything as the installer has built a false floor around them and I can't access the fittings. Seeing as I have no idea on this stuff though, I don't really want to. Now I have to take it back on Tuesday and hope they will look at it there and then, fix it and not try and charge me any money for it.
It only took me 3 and a half days to blow a 1200W sub. Unbelievable. Don't know if I'm stupid, deaf, fussy or just unlucky.
On top of all that, I was made redundant a week ago. Great time to spend £1300 on something I've wrecked already.
