if they only clean it, you may as well make an appointment for the next day also, because they will squeak again that soon... Believe me, i've been there.
Problem is now solved during the the use of anti-squeak pads my dealer installed.

I had my new front tyres fitted yeaterday (Continental Ecos as used on the 306) and my squeak has reduced now . I got my local tyre people to clean my pads and all is OK just need the backs to be done noow.

Don't understand why its only Peugeot wit this problem
My SLK brakes never squeek unlike my old CC, assuming non asbestos brakes are now a EU directive I fail to see why my car should be squeekless (don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining)
However, 6 months down the line my SLK roof now creaks like mad - even more than my old CC apparently its also a known problem with the SLK - ah well

I know what you mean I work in a used car garage and only 1 or 2 squeak like my CC and I have driven 100s of cars in the last few months. Why Peugeot cannot sort this out I don't know.
My local garage didn't mention that the brake recall was for 1.6 versions only, mines a 2.0 SE and I was told to expect a recall on the brakes in the near future. Think I'll give them a call just to check the situation, it wouldn't be the first time they've got things wrong.
