Official janspeed back box as suppiled by peugeot - problems

i had a Official janspeed back box as suppiled by peugeot fitted when i picked it up on the 3rd of march 2001, it's been excellent but i've now noticed it's started to 'blow', on further inspection it's got a 2" crack/split, which as also got some rust/corrosion on it too, in the short pipe that goes from the back box and joins the rest of the system

do any of you know what sort of warranty Janspeed back boxes come with, it's NOT stainless steel ????

hope it's still covered by the warranty then i can give my local peugeot dealer some stick

I think they come with a 3 year warranty ...

i'll try and dig out all the brochures and paperwork i've got over the years just to make sure

i've also emailed janspeed yesterday just waiting for a reply

according to peugeot Janspeed have gone bust

so they couldn't supply a replacement, so have had to have the normal oval 2.0 litre back box back on

, although they did knock 60 odd quid off the 20,000 mile service coz of the price difference

not a bad deal but look on the bright side lyndon ...........

i read a few days ago that janspeed products that are not stainless steel only have an 18 month guarantee so it looks like u were lucky.

i meant to let you know but forgot. only remembered when i read this thread again
