This is not a political or pro/anti war posting ... but don't you just love the Iraqi Information Minister?

We do hope he is alright and enjoying retirement - his boundless loyalty and optimism would be much missed.

"Now even the American command is under siege. We are hitting it from the north, east, south and west. We chase them here and they chase us there. But at the end we are the people who are laying siege to them. And it is not them who are besieging us."

He has a big following - go to:

I agree, he is a classic comedy character...

However (serious head on) lets not forget that he was in the upper echelons of the Iraqi regime, and is a nasty piece of work, personally responisible for the systematic torture and killing of his own people... :(

Hey! Welcome back Sue&Steve. I always look out for an Aegean blue one when travelling through Wetherby.

Hope you are both well. We will have to get together sometime.

See you soon

Hi Burge - never been away really ...... we just lurk  on the site a lot!

Was last in Wetherby on 4 April. Had the top down, Dad in passenger seat, en route to Amsterdam on the Hull ferry (but didn't take the car over - would like a spin through France this summer though .... hmm).

I keep looking out for northern mini-meets! Hope to see you around.

And - what am I doing at work on a day like this :?: And the car sitting there all shiny from a hand-wash last week, too.

Steve & Sue.
