Tyres

I need to change the tyres on my 206cc and i read somewhere that the standard tyres that come from peugeot are not very good and lead to lots of road noise.

Does anyone know if this is true. and if it is then does anyone have any idea what sort i should change to??????

I found this a problem to start with until I checked the tyre pressures and found that the garage had them set incorrectly (seems its a common thing). Since I set my Tyre pressure to 32PSI I havent had a problem.

By reduceing the tyre pressure it reduces road noise?

Found exactly the same problem as you and Rob, once I reducd my tyre pressures from the dealers, the road noise went away and it's no longer skittish now.

Spotted this topic the other and thought I better check my tyres.

Found they had all been done to 3.0 bar!!!!

So set them all to 2.3 as mention on the panel near the drive. Havent been out yet but will be interesting to "hear" the difference. I didn't mine the ride quality but the road noise was a bit wearing!

Never had a problem with the Eagle F1s which my car came with . They have good reviews on the net + cost enough.

i agree - the eagle F1's get great reviews and when i replace mine it will be with the same.
