they got a large Volvo and a 5 series BMW and put remote control gear into them

Then they crashed them into each other at 60mph

if thats all that was left of such large cars then they will be burying people in smaller cars as they wont be able to cut them out !!!

The damage really was that bad.

What was left of the cars then? Nothing I take it.

Was it to prove to us what happens to make us slow down or prove the designs of the cars are bad?

I think it was to show the difference between a crash at 30mph which manufacturers and road saftey people do and the real speeds people crash at

Bloke at work this morning came in and said 'thats what happened to me'

He is badly 'messed up' so it was an even bigger incentive to me.

Just seen the repeat....

well i'm slowing down from now on! at least if it happened to you, you would pretty much know nothing about it. The beamer with the steering wheel about 2 inches of the back of the seat, I know I am slim but, imagine the crush damage!

if you want to see something that would make you drive really really slow...thenits the photos from scenes of accidents that the police and fire service etc have and use for training purposes

HORRIFIC is the only way to describe them. Makes you almost scared to go out in your car.

Nothing like having to watch a 21 year old die in an upside down Vauxhall Tigra to make me always wear my seatbelt. Ashamed to say it hasnt stopped me driving fast. I always say that my driving is quick but safe - then again, maybe the guy in the tigra used to say that too?
