Got a real problem here, I was going to put the roof down and
about half way through it just stoped, the hydraulics just stoped!
This happens every time now!
The car is going to the dealer to day, just wondering if anybody else had
similar problems???

Mike,

Bad luck. Mine's been back three times to the dealer with the same fault. The last time they had the whole roof off to fit new seals (it leaked as well), fitted 'modified' microswitches, and said they had tried it 5 times without any problems. Guess what, first time I tried it it stuck again. Had an embarrassing 15 mile drive at 30mph back home with it flapping around. Tried to get it to shut loads of times, then eventually it decided to work.

I've got to the stage where I dare not use it. I hope someone out there reads our posts and can give the definitive cure, as at the moment the only one I can think of is selling. Shame, love the car if I could use the main feature it is supposed to have.

I hope you have more luck than me.

Joy,

I've had exactly the same problem with mine. I've been told there's nothing wrong with it (apparantly it was tested 4 - 5 times), but the very next time I tried to use it, it got stuck again. My sister and I managed (with a very helpful video from here) to manually raise the roof, but the next time I tried it, the same thing happened again, and again...........

I have no confidence in the roof at all now, and I daren't use it. I love my car too, but as you say Joy, it's not the same if you can't use it's main feature :(

<p>So where abouts on the site is this video? I have exactly this problem and need to close the roof. The handbook says I need to open the boot, but of course I can't do that because it is sticking up in the air!
