Two things for those of you in the know....

The car seems to rev at one notch below 1000 when at a standstill....... it seems to judder, does anyone elses do this?

Also where the hell is the bonnet release.....forgot to ask dealer. Doh!

under glove bit on passenger side on mine - it is an import!

Sounds like

a). Your engine is running too fast on idle while stationary

b). Also the engine should be runing smoothly on idle ie. no revving or juddering, could be an engine management adjustment needed.

I'd book it in under warranty, they may have a software patch for your ECU.

The bonnet releaseis by the door on the passenger side on all cc's as far as I'm aware. Funny place to put it if you ask me.

Mine also keeps the rev counter at just under 1000 when just sitting in neutral. Is this not normal then? i thought it was what cars do as all the ones I've driven do that. If there are no revs, surely the engine would just stop?

850-950 rpm is normal idle for most (fuel injected, computer-controlled) cars when warm.

It's normal for most (petrol) cars, AFAIK. All mine have idled around 800rpm.

Thanks guys, previous cars have ran at that too but it just feels like it's going to stall because of the juddering, will contact garage!.......have found the bonnet release now thanks!!

Ours started on three cylinders once (just over 100 miles on the clock :rolleyes: ) -- maybe related?
