This isn't a particularly unusual problem on many makes of car. Someone else had it on a CC on the old BB and I've had it on a Fiesta I had a few years back.
It down to the switch that is operated by the foot-brake not being at quite the right height.
Also had the same problem. Mine was triggered when I had the headunit replaced and some wires must have been touching. Seems quite common. Dealer took 5 seconds to wobble something under the glovebox, and presto, all was fine !
My brakes lights have stuck on this morning. Now come on as soon as car is started.
Dealer will be fixing this afternoon (almost sounds like I have faith in them...). See if they can beat five seconds for a fix! Guess I'll have to add this to my Peugeot questionnaire now.
Well, it took them over half an hour, but its fixed. The problem was with the microswitch behind the glove-box. They fitted a modified clip to hold it out of the way, and prevent it being knocked.
I had the same thing fitted to mine ... you might want to keep your eye on it as mine had to be "re-adjusted" once the glue dried or something like that....
