Windscreen Wiper Cover

I've just noticed that my windscreen wipers don't have the cover over the joints that all the other ones i've seen have, i've been assured by the Peugeot dealer that is part of the arm and i will need a whole new arm for Â£50 if i want the cover, does anyone know why it might be missing in the first place and if there is some kind of cheaper cover i can buy rather than replacing the whole arm?

Think you might be a bit unlucky with that one ..you will be able to buy the blades from an accesory shop but the covers are strickly peugeot

Does that mean they really are part of the arm? also i still don't understand why it would be missing???
