service please !

My cc is now 6 months old and therefore due for it's 'warranty' service.
The car is an import and the dealer is requesting the original invoice for the car, but i'm sure i read a thread on ere stating the original sale invoice is no longer a warranty requirement - can anyone elaborate?

I do have the invoice , but would like to get 1 over on Pug when they ask for it.

My local dealer was absolutly insistant on it and leaned towards saying they wouldn't do the service without me showing it. Not that they did much anyway :x ''sorry sir, you can see how busy we are''. Tossers.

Mine were the same but i'm sure someone wrote that it is no longer required

nope its not!

all the dealer has to do is take your chassis number and contact peugeot who will verify the car....

problem is not all the dealers know this so you have to challenge them to phone pug in some cases....

i phoned pug UK once and even some of thier people did not know this!
