Auto Express magazine dated 19th February did a product test on polishes. As I was going to prep. the Rover for selling at the weekend I decided to go with their top choice of 'Turtle Wax Gloss Guard'.

After visits to 4 retailers, I was beginning to think that they made it all up. Finally found it at 'Motor Savers' £6.99 for 500ml.

Applied the product and the car looks better that it ever has over the past 4.5 years we've owned it, and the easiest I have applied/buffed off. I usually stick with Autl-Glym (high resin polish), and will be sticking with them for the other things like tyre dressing, glass cleaner, shampoo etc. but this Turtle Wax product does exactly what it says on the tin (bottle) - big thumbs up from me.

I'll reply to ma own thread :)
Afterusing the Turtle Wax Gloss Guard on the Rover yesterday, I decided to have a stab at giving the CC a spring clean. Washed as normal then appled Auto-Glym Super Resin Polish, buffed that off and the car looked great, the Supoer Resin Polish is really easy to apply (just needs a tiny bit of elbow grease) but really, really easy to get off ! Leaving a high gloss, smooth finish.
I then applied the Turtle Wax Gloss Guard all over, it a watery substance which dries very quickly, once buffed off the paintwork had a wonderful lustre to it (maybe me not used to seeing it so clean!) I tested with some water and it beaded off, a bit of 'AG vinyl and rubber care' later on the wheels and trim and she looked fantastic.
