Hi, got a call from my dealer. My new car has arriwed and is most probably ready for delivery in the end of this week.
For those that havent followed my endless storry about my leaks and negotiations, here are the short story:
-bought my car in sept. 2001
-delivered in january 2002
-the car had leaks, the seats where wet after rain and when I was braking i got the usual shower.
-during the spring I had the car in for fixing the leaks 3 times.
-after they had failed I sent them a rejecting claimb
-during the summer i got no answer and I decided to get help from the Norwegian consumer office.
-after a lot of letters I made a deal early in the fall
-the deal was that the dealer got one more chance to fix the leaks. If they didnt get it right this time they would get me a new car with paint treatment (simular to diamon brite I think) The rejection and the paint treatment was free and i wouldnt have to pay anything for the new car.
-three days after i got the car back it was leaking again
-The dealer ordered a new car and said that it would be ready for delivery
in feb 2003. And so it is.
I changed the colour to arden red, my first car was black. Found it difficult to keep the black paint in good shape. Got irritating small circles that showed om a sunny day with a clean car. Hope the red is a bit easier to keep good looking.
last time the sales person rang me, after the sale I said id prob not buy another car from them because there aftersales is very poor. He has not rang back since, ahem. Not that I care, I was serious though....its gonna be tough to pursuade me to buy another Peugeot in this area.
