Article from: Auto Express

It's a sunshine car, but that doesn't mean Peugeot's 307 CC avoids winter testing. Seen for the first time in showroom trim in the current issue of Auto Express magazine, ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut next month, the drop-top follows in the footsteps of the popular 206 CC. It has a similar folding roof, and will be the flagship 307.

Sticking closely to last autumn's Paris show car, Peugeot has adapted the hatch's lines to incorporate the roof and a more compact four-seater cabin. The CC will have lowered suspension and a strengthened chassis, plus roll bars which pop up from behind the rear seats in the event of a crash. It arrives in the summer, and is likely to cost from £15,500-£18,500.

Peugeot have enough trouble making a roof that goes up and down when its being regularly used - never mind pop up :censored: roll bars that will (hopefully) just sit there for months/years on end!

The roof is being made by a different company from the one on the 206CC. Apparently it's going to be made by the people who did the roof on the SL -- Car Top Systems.

Autocar reckon on £18k for the base model 1.6 and £20k for the 180bhp 2.0.

IMHO it looks worse than the 206CC -- it's even more "cab forward". And 20k for a Pug

Looks worse? dont you mean is not as nice? or maybe you dont like the cc?

20k for a pug? you dont think 20k for a steel roofed convertible with four proper seats is worth it? Are there any other cars (apart from the sodding big lexus) in competition at any price?

In my opinion, there are not many cars i would rather buy for 20k - what do you think the money is better spent on?
