Anyone spend hours on the fone trying to book tickets ? Me and t'other half had 4 phones on the go, after 15 minutes got fed up and booked online where tickets were available for alot longer than the reported sell-out times of 16 minutes (Anglia news), or 40 minutes (Dream Team Radio1) Anyone else going ?

Yep fraid so - lots of people left whilst he was performing. As we left at the end everyone else was agreeing with us.
He had that sad bunch of fat saggy-trouser wearing rappers in the background. He did about 5-10 mins of stuff that people knew then an hour of boring crap that only dedicated eminem fans wnated to hear. That5's not what to do at a festival!!!

I've got a couple of eminem tickets booked (well, a young lady has them booked and I am accompanying her). they were booked at 8.50am, 10 minutes before official "on sale" time.
Never seen him before and hoping it will be good but not sure what to expect. Not a big fan of his albums, prefer the singles but I'm liking his newer stuff as he seems to be growing up a lot.
last concert I saw was Robbie Williams which was also at Milton Keynes. I don't think em will be as entertaining because he is a very different character to Robbie. Hopefully I won't be disappointed though

I think I know what toot means, I tend to like the odd single by an artist but I wouldn't be able to sit through a whole album of their stuff. Eminem can be a bit like that, singles tend to be the catchiest, most accessible tracks from an album - they might not be your favourite tracks if you're a hardcore fan.

Justin, you are spot on. I like the tracks that are released as singles but his albums don't interest me. in other words, the ones on there that have been picked as singles, I like but the rest of the tracks, I don't. I suppose thats why they are picked as singles though, because they are most accessible and likely to bring in the cash

Last concert we went to see was the Robbster at Milton Keynes aswell, what a show !
I am sure Eminem will be an experience. Tried booking accommodation on Tuesday- hmmmm, Hilton are charging double their normal rate, on asking 'WHAT ? £160 for a room' was asked...'have you heard of Eminem?' - surprisingly, not followed by 'Yeah, Eminem, we're cashing in on his popularity by charging what we want for rooms, because we can - okay ?!' .
In response to an earlier post, festivals are a little different to concerts, aren't they ?

Yep they are, which is my point - at a festival the bands are on for a short time and go down best if they play stuff that people know. If you're not an Eminem fan but see him at a festival doing lots of stuff you don't know it doesn't go down well.In response to an earlier post, festivals are a little different to concerts, aren't they ?
Best bands I've seen at a festival are Green Day (2 years back) and Guns N Roses (Leeds festival last year). Both bands played all the stuff that everyone knows, and put in some new tracks just as a teaser.
