Just replaced the existing filter with the k+n filter after my car was serviced in which they updated the 'computer'. Notice the car revving much more freely and the engine also seems more responsive.

thats the problem with filters. on the rollers they may offer a difference because the bonnet is open but in normal use u may feel it will offer difference BUT its all in your head. u would never be able to notice an increase of about 3bhp.

Mine's due tomorrow (yeah, right. It's been on order for over a month now.)

I won't be having an update though so I'll be able to get a better idea of any difference. :D

Out of interest, how much did you pay for it?

too early to tell mate but i doubt it...the addition of the filter should increase bhp though due to the alleged better inflow of air to the engine (1-3bhp) taking it to 140bhp at least.

It'll probably be a hardly noticeable improvement in performance & economy. The noticeable difference, if any, will be the improved low-end pickup of the engine - it should respond quicker to the throttle at low revs.

i paid £26.50 from simon harris.

if it has made any difference to fuel consumption then it definitely isn't for the best.
