Nasty knocks

Since I got my car about a month ago there is a knock / rattle coming from above the passenger door. It doesn't happen when the roof is down and can only be heard at either high speed or going over bumps. I've put it into the dealer who had it for a whole day and then said they could hear it but were clueless as to what the problem was. I will be trying another dealer soon and wondered if anyone ha d a similar problem.

try getting someone to sit in the seat and put their hand into the roof space (gap in trim) just behind the seat. i found the rattle i had to stop if you held a metal bit of the roof mechanism.

mines was rattling all the time and the monkey technicians at the dealer couldn't find the problem so i had to.

when they fixed it, it still existed on rough roads at high speed but was a lot better than before.

although if you read other posts by myself, you will find that a rattle was the least of my worries

So how exactly did they fix it. I was driving along the M53 - M56 last night and had the same problem but over both doors. I held the metal bar supprting the roof and found it was knocking against some other part of the roof support. After about 50 miles it seemed to stop so I know that when I take it to the dealers on Wednesday they will say they can't find it.

I find that we, the customer, have to repeatedly find the problems and solutions with CC's (particularly Imported ones!) as the dealers just aint got a clue!
