Hi All,

it as come to a point that the many sigs that are posted by you ,the members, are getting out of hand, i ask you to make them smaller or remove them, yes i know it's not xmas spirit but i've had a few complaints from members of slower internet connections that each page takes ages to download coz of the many sigs attached !!!!!!!

Hopefully over the xmas period i'll get round to sorting out the avatars for this forum than i can manage them better,it's this way or disable html altogether in the posts which will be a blow to all the normal 'links' that are posted.

Cheers

Lyndon

I think its generally considered good forum etiquette on the net to ensure that siggies arn't too large.

I thing big sigs are a little like driving in clear weather with fog lights on, bloo$y annoying to others.

I agree but I find it difficult to find something small to have as my avatar so if something was supplied then fair enough, is this avatar okay or will you want me to choose something else.

Awww bless!
Its the picture that people have for their signatures.

Sometimes these can make internet connections slower than normal as the pc is trying to download so much information.

I have taken mine off as I was one of the people having problems.

Lyndon,
What’s reasonable ?. Mine comes in at 12990 bytes at 75x125 pixels. Is this excessive? I've got broadband so can't appreciate what affect this has on others? Please advise.

Rgds

Cheers !,
How much do you pay for 1Mb/from whom ?. I pay £23.44 a month from Pipex for 512K and rate their service most of the time !.
