I went out on a delivery and opened the boot to put item in. closed boot locked using button on dash as I always do when driving through East London when I reached my destination boot motor would not engage mechanism so couldn't open boot. some shoving and key jiggling eventually managed to open boot but now operates by forcing key left and popping the catch. no motor noise comes from the lock. Roof still OK though

I hope it's not the same problem as Stuart who posted in the discussions section on the 11th of November but it sounds like it may be so. Still it's joining my 306 Dturbo (Glowplug and brake problem) in my local dealer so I'll be car-less for a while soon me thinks. :( Still be at the Southern meet on saturday though.

All fixed now....HOORAY.

Turns out the problem was a seized boot lock actuator or the motor that whirrs when you turn the lock in the boot. New one fitted under warranty.
