My CC is now complete of all recall work! (finally!)
Took it in this morning and after waiting an hour they came back to say the work had been complete. (I waited for it as I don't trust them to have it without me being there!)
They initially told me that the recall on my particular CC was to do with the wiring. I then find out today that they needed to replace a catch in the boot and also do something with the roof mechanism. I notice that the pull cord in the boot (for use if you need to manually use the roof) has been replaced for some reason.
The guy told me the recall was for 3 possible problems. Wiring, Boot catch and roof mechanism. Some CC's will have problems with all three and some will have problems with one or two. Some may even be fine!
So now my CC is all set to be cruised in again!
YAY!
Julia

Mine only needs the micro switch replaced.. That is the one that Lyndon had problems with earlier in the year..

Boot Locks and Loom location are OK..

well you guessed it my shed had to have all 3 bits done.

The wiring, the clips in the boot and the pin in the right hand roof clip.

Mine was nearly finished today. The diagnostics machine they have to put your car on after doing roof work (to check all the systems are in synch) has blown up.

My car is just a bad omen (

HI Julia,

I seem to remember that you have a cc-specific manual - is the section on how to put the roof up/down manually very big? If it's not, would you mind putting the important bits in a post for those of us who only have 206 manuals please?

Sorry, ignore me - I found it on the main site - Thanks Tyce! Pauline

About this recall business.
I didn’t buy my car directly from a dealer and haven’t had a recall notice, my local dealer says that if I haven’t received a letter from Peugeot my car is not subject to a recall, but I don’t trust them.
My car was built mid July – has anyone had a recall for a car built after this date?
Cheers
Adrian

No one of them i know of here in Norway who have bought their car between may and august have got a recal letter. when they ask their dealers the answers is that they have never heard about it and because of that the scandinavian models probably arent among these cars..??? sounds funny i think, when i read about the work that has been done in the cars wich have been in. no reasons that the scandinavian cars are different then others in these areas.
Someone out there with a scandinavian model who has got a recal letter??

Odd, mine was in for the recall (2nd visit as parts were required !). After picking the car up and going for a bevvy in a local hostelry I was spotted by the Pug Service Manager who started chatting about my car and mentioned that they'd also done some other work for which I should have had another recall letter for (wiring in the boot) I'm a little sceptical as I've heard nowt about this, but one section of wiring in the boot was rubbing when I shut the boot.

Julia,

My Pull cord got severed by the hood mechanism, so it maybe a good hob that they replaced yours.
Getting my car back today after the recall. We'll see what else they have done.
