Having severe problems getting the boot unlocked - anyone else experience this ? 20 month old 'cc' (nearly 32K miles) - maybe just a bit tired ? Roll on March

Hmm can't say thats a problem I ever had or read on the forum, but those locks are flimsey, could it be the central locking mechanism out of sinc/alignment in the boot catch? Have you tried locking and unlocking it several times and then using the key. Perhaps leaving it for several hours until morning then trying the central locking and the key may hopefully do the trick?

Robbie.

Still a problem, I'm able to get into it eventually with some nifty key jiggling. Looks like another trip to the service department.

Sounds like the problem I had last year!

Key worked in lock and turned barrel but did not 'catch' the mechanism.
You'll need a plastic surround (not a new barrel) which is done under warrenty. The pain in the arse is getting the boot open.

If the garage are unsure get them to phone the Peugeot Dealer in Poole for advice (Brian Whiteside). They're a bunch of cocks but they did fix it.

(As an aside; Whitseides are a complete bag of shite, go to Olds, Dorchester or Hartwells Bournemouth.)

Have the exact same problem - only my cc is BRAND NEW!!!!

After reading every possible word on this site, I was actually expecting a huge disaster when receiving the car (i.e stuck sunroof, leaks e.t.c), but when I finally found the only problem to be that my boot was stuck, I almost felt conned. Even thought about complaining and sending the car back!

Anyway, my local dealer is going to fix it tomorrow.

Mind you, said local dealer - won't mention any names (Warwick Wright, Brent Cross, London), decided to only give me 5 months warranty since I was cheeky enough to save some money and import the car - how dare I!! It took a couple of phone calls to the EU in Brussels, and Pug main offices to eventually receive an apology and an immediate change of status and warranty to a full 2 year one. I should be so grateful!
