almost all the cc drivers i see on the road are middle-aged women, who seem to drive about in their cc's obliviously :? . you can forget about waving or even ackowledging, i can tell you. just get a blank stare back in return. i thought a smile came as standard on the cc :D but these drivers must have a different spec to me!

are any of our readers in the manchester/south manchester area?

Duncs,
what age do you class as middle aged?

I've found the CC drivers of NW London are not very friendly. None of them give me a wave or even acknowledge the fact that I am driving a CC as well

.....maybe its because at the tender age of 31 I am seen as middle aged?

EXCUSE ME!

Not all middle aged women are the same. This one in particular always smiles and waves!!!!!

Remember folks if you all live long enough you too will be middle aged one day. What will you be driving then I wonder? Comfy middle aged cars? I hope not!!!!

There is one advantage MY INSURANCE IS ONLY £300!!!

Also I couldn't afford CC until middle age set in unlike you young things who don't realise how lucky you are. Because I had to wait a long time for my dream car I appreciate it so much more.

Rant over!

I have to agree with Duncs. Swindon is also full of mid-aged female cc drivers. Nothing wrong in that, but they could try to look like they enjoy driving such a GREEEEEAT car.

I think all the guys were getting their hopes up then as they probably thought you would "flash"right back at them instead of grinning! :D

I have to agree, each day I pass a lady in another green cc, everyday my waves get more over the top, but no response.

First, I have to say that as a 40 year old female CC driver, if I saw some loon waving at me in his car i'd be inclined to either give him/her the victory sign or put my foot on the accelerator.

Conversely, although I find myself being overly-polite to fellow CC drivers - eg letting them out at busy junctions, with a wink and a smile - I would never feel the need to wave to a fellow driver. It would be like waving to someone in the street because they have the same coat on as me or because they have the same tank-top and woolly bobble hat! It has the ring of 'care in community' about it...
