My 2.0l CC told me my fuel was low the other day, as it does... so I drove it around for another 20 or so miles, then filled it up... costing me approx. £33.00 and filling my tank.

A little while later, when it came to the next 'fill up' time, the car told me it was low, and I happened to run it for another 35-40 miles. I expected to be putting in about £35.00 worth of fuel, but to my suprise, £27.00 filled the tank, to the point where the hose continually clicked off, and the tank registered full.

Now, I'm no mathmatical genius, but I can work out that the price difference of the petrol would be about 19p a litre to see this difference in pricing!

What's going on? does my CC have the new 'resizing tank' option??

I thought about different driving styles and stuff, and I can understand why the range feature of the trip computer could be wrong, but I figured that the fuel guage would be run off a level in the tank, instead of a 'virtual' level based on the economy... but then again, the reserve light always seems to come on with 50 miles in the tank! lol...

Mate, ask Julia ,she advised on "refuling" that you take it out and then put it back all the way with 45^ tilt and press gently so the air can get out .
