Watch out those of u importing or looking into importing cars...
I have recently spoken to some people with bad experiences of importing cars
1 guy ordered a new 206 GTi and it was 4 months late. Then when he got it it wasn't the spec he wanted (they wouldn't change it so they just refunded the difference!!). He's had loads of problems and they never get fixed properly.
A friend at work bought a Volvo S40 brand new off an importers yard and again he's having problems. He's trying to sell it now and no one will touch it as it's an import.

You need to watch who you are using these days as your agent. As some importing companies are very poor. Stick to using the big companies and make sure that when you pay deposits and thinks that it is going direct to the peugeot dealer. I used eurocar-consultants who is a larfe import company who are sponsored by whatcar. I imported my CC a couple a days ago for £14000 with leather and metalic paint. The have promised a delivery between 14-16 weeks guaranteed. Which is faster than what my local UK dealer can get it in.
Anyway just beware who you are using.

I agree, it is best to stick to a big company with all the neccessary guff such as trading license number etc. I am currently importing my 206 CC SE with Broadspeed.com who are also 'What Car' recommended. I had letter 2 weeks agao saying my car was built and ready but I m having it on March 1st (touch wood!) So far I can't fault them
