Alarm goes off when I unlock my car

Hi again,
I thought I would try and pick your brains on what could be the problem.
I'll start at the beginning l.
The car is a 2003 petrol 2 ltr 206 cc.
The central locking works perfectly off the key fob.
I lock the car ,but every now again when I go to unlock it with the fob the alarm goes off.
A quick press of the button stops it and the car starts and behaves normally.
It does however only seems to happen when the weather is really cold.
The battery in the car is virtually new and the key fob battery appears to be good too.
Any ideas?
Any comments or suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Low battery can send weak signals, confusing the car. dirty or bad door/hood/trunk sensor, or a sensitive shock sensor, can activate it.

Thanks for replying and a Merry Christmas to you.
Since my original post the problem seems to of mysteriously disappeared.
It has been a little warmer though, so the next few days will surely test it with the drop in temps.
Thanks for the pointers though.If the issue decides to rear its head again I will check out the things you've suggested
