I bought a sony head unit single cd ive also order two connectors seems to be hard to get them so say the company ive ordered them from and ...my question is if i dont want to use the peugeot stereo stick control can i give my peugeot dealer my sony unit to install(I dont want to risk blowing myself and the car up) without the need for special wires or connectors and i can use the sony head unit by hand as in any other car? i just need to get this question cleared up in my head as other answers ive got on posts left me confused ...bottom line is can i just plug and play the sony unit?

If you have a pre-multiplex car then yes it's just a case of plug and play and it's fine. However, things get a bit more confusing if you have a post-multiplex car. In short, if you have a multiplex car you have to find another power source which will switch on/off with the ignition and I've explained how to do that in other threads which you can search for...BUT, I have heard somewhere here there is an peugeot adapter available which bypasses this problem and you can search for that thread as well. Hope that helps.

to be honest it's not that hard as it is only an iso connector. but if you are worried .. my dealer had a price list with things like the exhaust but it listed fitting a stero at something like 7.00 i can try and find out the brochure name if you want.
