Luggage cover switch input

Post by Pierre_Johnsen »

Hi
I have a 206CC from 2001 where I can not open the trunk.
Neither with key nor central lock.
I can't open the roof because the luggage cover is not hooked on.
So is there anyone who has wire diagram or know where input from luggage cover switch is.
I apologize for my google translation language

Pierre

Hello Pierre,
Welcome to our forum.
Have you had the car for long or have you just bought it? Have you had the boot (trunk) open and working before?
The boot is not designed to unlock with the central locking. It has to be unlocked using the key. Once unlocked you then press the button on the boot lid to open it.
Try it and let us know how you get on.

Thank you Grandadmonkey

No I have this car for about 2 years, and I have always been able to open it with the key. When I put the key in and turn it is as though there is no resistance.
yes I know now that the central lock does not lock up, I've always thought it was my car that had a defect but after searching for this problem, I found out that it was built like that.
I have purchased this manual at EmanualOnline:
1 x 2002 PEUGEOT 206CC Service and Repair Manual (EMO_209083) = £ 19.99

but without luck there is no diagram of the electronics that control the roof.
so if someone has a chart / overview where and how the luggage cover switch is connected it will help me.
I can not see other options besides the hard way and cut it up but it's the last way.
Pierre

Bet the operating rod has bent or come out of the lever on the boot lock .. happened on ours but it worked occasionally so once it was open I modified the rod to stop it from jumping out.

Sorry, but the luggage cover switch is wired to the roof ECU which is in the boot, so you cannot get at it unless the boot is open.

There is a wiring modification you can make to allow the central locking to unlock the boot here, but you need to get the boot open to do it.

Perhaps you can remove the number plate and cut into the boot at that point. At least the repair would be hidden. You probably need to look at another car to see where to go.

You will have to take the rear seat out and get to it that way. There is a post on it on here somewhere. You should be able to find it with a search.
Cheers Col.
