Hi guys, new owner here :)

Post by robertlabrador94 »

So I've recently got a Peugeot 206 CC, and want to start changing things like oil, oil filter, air, pollen and fuel filters. I've watched lots of guides and read quite a few pages about how to do them and I've pretty much got a good idea on how to do these stuff.

I have one problem, I'm not too sure what to put on google or shopping website when I'm looking for the tool I need to unlock the oil filter...

Its really deep down under the hood, the rest of the filters I can do myself. Can I get some help on what this "tool" is called and any recommendations on tools?

Thank you,
Robert :love-thx:

It can also depend upon age. My daughter's 2001 TU5JP4 (1.6 liter 16V) takes a different filter to my 2005 TU5JP4.

I am running the 1.6L 16V 2005 version, if that helps?

You should be able to do it with a ratchet handle, an extension bar and a 27mm socket.

This set should do the trick.

Caution: There are some poor quality filters around - the paper can collapse and block the oil circulation. Best to buy the real McCoy from Peugeot. If you know the part numbers, you can do an EBay search and compare prices of the branded item. If you don't know the number, post the last eight digits of your VIN, and I'll look it up. I could tell you the number for mine, but it's better to be certain.

Thank you for the reply, I have looked at the link you gave me, and this looks promising, and it looks like it consists of everything that is needed specially the extension bar as the filter cap is really in there under the hood!

I have been looking where the VIN could be and I think this is it! "44841511" in terms of the last 8 numbers.

Thank you!

Yes, that's the last 8 of the VIN. Your filter is Peugeot Part number 1109 CK.

I bought mine here. It's labelled 1109 AJ, but it's the same part.
