Post by Kezza3 »

My son just got a clutch fitted in his 206 and a few hours later he could smell burning and there's some smoke coming from the bonnet,is this normal?

You do want to try and be a little sympathetic with a new clutch whilst it beds in, so if he has been a little enthusiastic then that wouldnt help. The bite point may well have changed so you need a minute or two to re-learn where it is again too, which doesn't help.

But under normal operating, as Colin says, no - not normal at all.
