engine wont turn over

Hi can anyone help please, I removed the fuse box after disconnecting the battery on my Peugeot 206 cc to check behind for a loose or disconnected plug as roof and windows stopped working after checking for blown fuse, so now iv refitted the fuse box but now when you turn the key to start the car nothing happens apart from a clicking sound from the fuse box ( windows and roof still don't work either ) any ideas please.

That could be a low battery. What voltage across the terminals? If you have a charger, try giving it a charge.

The most frequent cause of Windows+roof is one/both of the microswitches on top of the windsceen pillars - usually responds to a spray of switch-cleaning fluid (not WD40, please - that leaves a residue to retain more dirt).

Hi guys

I have a peugoet 206 1.4 16V and I recently did an engine overhaul on the car. before I dod the overhaul the car had high raves "idling not so well".

Now that the car is done the idling has gone down a bit and the car accelarates but looses power. what could be the cause?

In fact as much info as you can and we will try and help. This forum is for the CC model, which isn't fitted with your engine although the 1.6 is virtually the same as yours
