Delayed acceleration, hesitation and uneven idling
Hey so I have a couple of problems with my car as the title says it's delayed acceleration, hesitation and uneven idling. I believe that they are connected, is there anything that would cause these symptoms? My car is a peugeot 206 2005.

Could be timing - perhaps the camshaft drive belt has skipped a tooth. You haven't said which engine you have.

I have a 1.6 petrol engine. I'd there anyway to make sure if that is the case?

The best first step is a diagnostic session with Peugeot Planet. See Peugeot Planet Map
The only way I know to check the cam timing is to follow the normal procedure for setting it. http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-206/, then Mechanical/Engine/Timing/REMOVAL - REFITTING TIMING BELT - TU5JP ENGINE - TU1JP ENGINE - TU3JP ENGINE. If you embark on that, it would be a good idea to replace belt, tensioner and water pump.
