Catalytic Converter ?

Post by Superdutch »

First time on this site. Never used a forum before so any help if i am doing wrong.

OK. I bought a 2003 1.6 CC yesterday and got the engine a bit wet while cleaning it. It stuttered to a start and the engine symbol light up saying prob with the Cat..

It has dried out now and starts ok. The engine light is still on along with the diagnosis. Can any one help. ?

Is it worth while buy the plug in device in order for me to reset the system ? What is it called ? price etc. I am not very clued up on modern cars..

I just need as much advice that you can offer,

many thanks and cheers for being patient with my basic question.

Dutch.

You really need PlanetPeugeot2000 if you plan to keep the car as that does both faults and configures the car settings.

But you might get away with an EOBD compatible code reader. Not OBD2 or OBDII ... You might get a bluetooth one to work but chances are you will be wasting time & money on many of those.
