Noisy air-con - sounds asthmatic

Post by GrandadMonkey »

It is about 5 or 6 years since our air-con was last serviced. We always have the air-con on unless we've got the roof open. Started the car a couple of days ago and there was an asthmatic wheeze which disappeared when I switched off the air-con which was no longer blowing cold.

I've booked it in for a re-gas next week and I think this should cure it. I'll let you know how it goes. :hot:

Get them to put dye in with it, as if you have a leak now or in the future it will be easier to find with UV light.
Cheers Col.

Air-con regassed at my local village garage (non-Peugeot specialist) - £45 + VAT. Perfect again now.

It had been 7 years since I last had the air-con serviced so I was confident there was no leak Col, but thanks for the tip.
