Re: remove, charge and replace flat battery
That is the ONLY way to safely do it. Can't you charge it in situ?
Cheers Col.

Re: remove, charge and replace flat battery
Well after worrying all afternoon while my battery was on charge I read up on reconnecting my battery following Capncol post
http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic ... 23&t=13473
I reconnected following his advise on reconnecting a battery and i'm glad to say she started right up first time, that's something I wont be doing again hopefully for a long time

Re: remove, charge and replace flat battery
If the BSI is asleep, you have a good chance of getting away with it.
I know the service manager of the local Peugeut main dealer quite well, and we were chatting a while back about the fragile BSI systems, and she said they get a couple of Pugs a month towed in from the local Halfords after they have had a battery fitted and it's corrupted the BSI.
I've got a Piccasso in at the moment with the same issues. I think it's going to the scrapyard as the owner can't afford the repairs
