Car making constant beeping noise while driving

I hope there's someone who might be able to help.

I recently bought my car about a week ago now and ever since I bought it it's made a beeping noise when driving. I was told that the beeping was coz the petrol was very low and I naively believed them having this been my first car.

I have realised the beeping is the car telling me there's a problem with my roof/boot. Now I have looked at the little white catches and hooks and it's changed nothing I've had a look at the hydraulic system and its leaked. I've looked online but still unsure what fluid/oil to top this up with so if someone has the answer please let me know.

The other thing is that other than the constant beeping while driving my car makes no other soung like the bong that's meant to be heard when opening the roof side catches or and clicks like it's trying to do something and the windows don't come down unless I push the two window buttons.

I fear that the whole system is defect and I don't know where to go from here.

Find someone with Peugeot Planet software so they can read any fault codes stored.

I wonder whether the boot catch is correctly adjusted and fixed securely? If it is not then the car may think that the boot is open when it is not.

I have the same problem after I have shut the roof, I have found that the clip in the boot on the driver's side does not close properly, So my quick fix until I can afford to get it fixed is to push down on the handle on the top of the boot, I then hear the click to know the boot lid has locked and I nolonger hear the beeping sound.

Mine is the passenger side..I open my boot a little for it to go click.LOL
