Passenger airbag intermittant fault

Post by Bootyx67 »

Don't know if just coincidence but since the winter weather I have had a problem with my passenger airbag. On startup the light comes on the dash and the centre display shows airbag fault. Also, just recently along with the airbag light coming on the central locking locks! Can anybody shed any light on these problems please? :(

How old is the battery on your car? I got those symptoms when my battery was failing. The battery was 8 years old. A new battery cured it. There is a proper procedure to follow when you replace your battery and you must ensure that you buy the correct one.

I will try that thank you. A good test will be when I return from holiday in two days time! Car will have been sat for 10 days so if it does start ok then that will rule that theory out.

Ours was starting, but the juice required to start it meant that spurious warnings came up on the dash and the car locked itself as the alternator started charging the battery. All in a split second.

There are plenty of similar threads on this forum e.g. http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic ... 23&t=15881

Let us know how it goes, and enjoy the rest of your holiday.
