Drivers Door

Post by trudyoba »

Guys everytime i get into my car i have to slam the door twice before it shuts properly,
check the door see if it drops and hinges seems fine..the passenger door shuts smoothly no problem.
Really hate slaming my car doors..was forever arguing with the car wash people bout slaming my doors when having my car wash lol..

Thanks Trudy

Grease the rubber door seals with silicon grease. I obtain clear silicon grease in tubs from a plumbers merchants. I use it on my roof seals too but be careful if you do that as it is easy to mess up the roof operation if you stop the roof midway. Read your owners manual about do's and don'ts with the roof.

You might also need to adjust the door striker plate. Just loosen it and move it outboard about 1-2mm
