Does your Pug steam up inside?

Post by shep1001 »

As per the title, Lisa's CC steamed up inside inside today. Its not moved other than being opened up to get her glasses out of the glove box. I have seen this before but it only happens in the real cold winter weather.

99% certain its not leaking as I have had the carpets up and there is no damp/wet on any of the under mats. Checked the boot too and there is no wet in there although the boot does vent direct into the cabin along the rear screen.

Any ideas or do all CC's suffer internal fogging in the cold weather?

Ours doesn't except when we first get into the car on a really cold day and our breath condenses on the windscreen and windows. We have the air-con on permanently so it clears quickly.

If you are absolutely sure the carpets are dry and there are no leaks from the heater matrix then I'd check that the pollen filter isn't clogged with dirt or is wet. I have also heard of a build up of water below the rear side windows causing condensation when the drain holes have become blocked.
