Registering an imported Peugeot

Post by Sarya »

Hi everyone!!

I am a young owner of a Peugeot 206cc which I imported from Cyprus. Wondering if anyone would be able to help...

I sent all the information I have about the car along with the relevant forms off to the DVLA to register it, however the application was rejected due to a lack of sufficient evidence of the vehicle's year of manufacture.

As it still has the Cypriot registration plate, not sure if anyone can help but would anyone know where I could find the manufacturing information? Is there anyone I could contact?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :-)

Thank youuu,

Confused-but-excited Peugeot driver :)

You probably can't send a PM yet .. you need to make a few more posts .. but I have sent you one.

If we can find away you can get me the VIN number I can check on ServiceBox for you ... Peugeot's part system :-)

I was in Cyprus in early June .. saw a few CC's running around near Pathos! Even a Cayman Green one like ours.

Hey Gazza!

Thank you for your reply! Have sent you an email :)

Ooh hope you enjoyed Cyprus! Our car is quite popular over there...obviously, with all that sun! :)

You can decode the DAM number on the tyre pressure sticker on drivers "B" post

Unfortunately, DVLA will only accept proof from a recognised source. On older cars this would be from the owners club on the V765 scheme. https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... wner-clubs
Easiest way is to take it to a Peugeot dealer and get them to confirm it on headed paper and send that to DVLA.
Cheers Col.

Better still, put the details in your signature.

Found the info from vin no on servicebox and did suggest it might need to on dealer headed paper.

Hoping the info I provided helps in future though.
